Technological tools can do some of the "thinking" involved in a task or computation, freeing humans to tackle the more creative aspects of the work. In this video clip, Chris Dede, Wirth Professor of Learning Technologies at HGSE, describes how teachers can take advantage of this distribution of work. Handheld computers can do the mundane computations associated with problem solving, allowing students to spend their time interpreting information and applying their skills.
